Stitch
A wireframe view of stitch, showing off the simple forms and smooth shape, as well as a bit of the articulatable joints, although they aren’t very present in this view
For a project in my grade 11 tech design course, a group and I were required to create a toy, a toy model, and the marketing behind it. I was in charge of modelling the toy. As we chose an articulated doll, we based the design on Stitch from Lilo and Stitch. This design proved difficult, as it was my first time in which I would be doing a precise form model; a technique with which I already didn’t have much experience. Through a few days, however, I persevered and was able to create a model with a movable head and arms, which came out perfectly once it was 3D printed, easily snapping in and rotating, while staying firm when let go of. While I was only in charge of the design, I also assisted with the other parts of the project, helping to develop a brand, toy purpose, and marketing for the toy. I was also able to colour my toy model and used that version for the renders and final marketing designs for the project, which I don’t currently have access to.
